TRACTORS WITH AMMETER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for ABC524 MINI 42 AMP ALTERNATOR
WITH A BUILT IN REGULATOR THAT REQUIRES AN EXCITATION CIRCUIT.
(FOR 12 VOLT NEGATIVE GROUND SYSTEMS ONLY)
1. Plug in the wiring harness proved to back of the alternator. The wire with the diode needs to be connected to the hot side of the ignition switch.
2. Run another wire (not included) from the treaded stud to amp guage terminal.
3. Run a wire (not included) from other amp guage terminal to positive (+) side of battery which will complete the circuit.
TO SWITCH A TRACTOR THAT IS POSITIVE GROUND TO NEGATIVE GROUND
1. Switch battery cables.
2. Reverse Amp Gauge wires.
3. Reverse coil wires.
4. Minus (-) side of coil goes to the distributor, plus (+) side will go to ignition switch wires.
